August at Countryside Senior Living: Elvis, Summer Fun & Our Annual Open House!

August is one of our favorite months at Countryside Senior Living! With the warmth of summer still in the air and our calendar full of exciting events, there’s no shortage of opportunities for residents to stay active, socialize, and enjoy new experiences.

This month, we’re kicking things off by celebrating National Beer Day with a fun social gathering, followed by a week dedicated to The King himself—Elvis Presley! During Elvis Week, residents can enjoy Elvis-themed Bingo, trivia, classic music, and plenty of opportunities to sing along to timeless favorites. Whether you’re a lifelong Elvis fan or simply enjoy the nostalgia of his music, it’s sure to be a week filled with smiles.

Our activity calendar also features a variety of hands-on crafts, cooking activities, games, movie matinees, and social gatherings designed to keep minds active and encourage friendships. Residents will have the chance to get creative with seasonal crafts, enjoy delicious homemade treats, and participate in engaging games that bring everyone together.

One of the highlights of the month is our Summer Open House on Friday, August 21, from 4:00–7:00 p.m. We invite residents, families, friends, and members of the community to join us for an evening of great food, live music, and fellowship. We’ll be serving complimentary hamburgers and hot dogs fresh off the grill while guests enjoy tours of our community and see the updates we’ve been making throughout the year. It’s a wonderful opportunity to experience the welcoming atmosphere that makes Countryside Senior Living feel like home.

As always, our monthly menus feature a variety of home-style favorites and seasonal meals that residents look forward to each day. From comforting classics to summertime flavors, our dining team works hard to create meals that are both delicious and satisfying.
