Countryside Living Assisted and Independent Living Facility is seeking an independent, self motivated kitchen helper to prepare dining rooms and tables, provide meal service to residents and maintain cleanliness and sanitation of dining and kitchen areas. The successful candidate will ensure full compliance with nutritional standards, internal procedures and government regulations while preparing and serving foods and beverages to all residents.

Responsibilities:

• Assist cook in preparation of palatable, presentable food for 80+ residents under the supervision of a dietary manager or cook
• Clean food stations and wash dishes, cooking vessels and silverware
• Set up tables or other dining areas with attention to cleanliness and order
• Deliver dishes and trays at designated times and rooms
• Remove plates and serve ware upon the completion of a resident finishing their meal
• Discard trash and remove waste after scheduled dining hall times
• Help maintain kitchen equipment and appliances
• Ability to follow all food safety protocol
• Ability to follow all proper cleaning/ sanitation procedures and expected to thoroughly clean and sanitize personal work area, equipment, and supplies
• Other duties as assigned

Experience:

• Friendly with good communication skills
• Able to work a flexible schedule including weekends, and holidays.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Job Type: Currently Part time- potential for full time

Shift Hours: Varied- 7am-1:30pm, 7am-3pm and 5pm-7pm

Responsibilities:

• Administer medications in a correct and timely manner

• Other essential functions of position:

         -Light housekeeping

         -Serve meals using standards to maintain sanitation.

        -Preparing dining rooms and tables.

• Document and report to nurse any changes in resident behavior, weight, blood pressure, medication errors, and any other pertinent information regarding resident.

  Experience:

• SD Medication aide credentials preferred but will train right candidate
• Highschool diploma required

Job Type: Part time evening/nights shifts will be 2:30-10:30pm, 10:30pm-6:30am and 6:30p-6:30a
