Countryside Living Celebrates National Assisted Living Week®
Mitchell, SD – A weeklong celebration kicks off this Sunday, September 7, and Countryside Living is joining assisted living communities across the country to recognize National Assisted Living Week® (NALW). Sponsored by PharMerica, the observance continues through Saturday, September 13, honoring this year’s theme, “Ageless Adventure.”
“This year’s National Assisted Living Week is a special time to celebrate our residents and the amazing caregivers who support them each day,” said Kathy Zoss, Administrator of Countryside Living. “‘Ageless Adventure’ reminds us that joy, discovery, and new experiences don’t stop as we age. Our residents inspire us daily with their sense of adventure and love for life.”
Throughout the week, residents at Countryside Living will enjoy a variety of special events and activities, including:
- Lunch Outings (Tuesday–Thursday): Residents will visit favorite local restaurants for good food and fun conversation.
- Group Photo Day: A chance to capture memories together and celebrate community.
- Friday Cookout with Live Music: A festive cookout lunch bringing everyone together to wrap up the week.
- Themed Dress-Up Days: Staff and residents will share laughs while showing their spirit throughout the week.
- Daily Activities: Bingo, Crafts, Guess the Resident, Guess the Candies, the Price is Right, and more fun and games to fill up the week.
“We encourage families and community members to follow our Facebook page for updates and photos during National Assisted Living Week,” Alex Heidinger, Marketing & Life Enhancement Director. “It’s a wonderful opportunity to connect with our residents and see how much joy these celebrations bring.”
